Submission TitleLetters to friends

Short Description (for preview in feed)

"You can't make new old friends." That's been sticking with me lately, so I wanted to do something for a couple of my old friends who had things to celebrate recently.

NameLeanna Johnson

Full Description

Today, I wrote letters to a couple of friends to put in the mail tomorrow. Texting and calls are great, but there's just something sweeter about snail mail and a handwritten note!  I wrote a happy birthday/you're-the-best-friend-ever letter for my best friend since kindergarten (like, she's seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and the downright embarrassing and still somehow thinks I'm okay? She cray.) and a graduation/congratulations-you-survived-nursing-school letter for another of my best friends (we lived together in a tiny dorm room for a year and made it out alive... AND we still liked each other! That's true friendship!) I really love my friends who live far away and miss them so much, and this was a reminder that I'm so blessed to have friends like mine.

Today, I'm thanking God for all of my sweet friends, old and new!
