“BAM!”  I hear a loud crash. “What was that?” I say. My name is Seth. I’m 12 years old. I’m currently at a sleepover with my best friend, Tom. “Mom!’ I yell out of my room. No response. “We should probably go find out what that crash was,” Tom says glaring over at me. We grab our flashlights and slowly open my door. Something runs past. “Aah!,” I yell, but then cover my mouth. The “thing” ran into the guestroom. I hear a “meow,” and see Whiskers the cat poke his head out from around the corner. “Whiskers! You scared the living daylights out of me!” I whisper loudly. Tom quietly laughs. I roll my eyes at him. We step out of the room slowly. We’re halfway down the hallway when I hear coughing downstairs. Sounds like my dad, but I’m not sure though. We quietly run into my parent’s bedroom. I shake my mom. She’s underneath the blankets, or at least I think. My dad is gone from the other side. I pull off the covers on my mom and there are just three pillows. “Weird,” I whisper. “Is that a note?” Tom says, picking up a small piece of paper. I shine my light on it. It reads, RUN. Creepy.Let’s check downstairs,” I say. “Good idea,” says Tom. We tiptoe down the stairs. And then a,  “SCREECH.” A chill runs down my spine. We make it to the bottom of the stairs. Our flashlights turn off. A door shuts. “AAH!” I yell, covering my mouth again. Then, something with mouse ears on its head pokes out from the side of the couch. I scream like a five-year-old girl. The lights turn on and my dad has Mickey Mouse ears on, and my mom comes out behind me wearing the same thing. “We’re going to Disneyland!” They yell at the same time. “We got a ticket for you too, Tom!” My dad says. “Mom, it’s 4:30 in the morning!” I yell angrily. “It couldn’t wait to the morning?” Tom says. “Nope!” My mom and dad say together, and march back upstairs. “Yeah, I think I’m just gonna go back to bed,” Says Tom. “Good idea, buddy!” I pat him on the back as we walk back upstairs.
