Faye did a good job explaining our hopes for what our Community Crates, so if you missed our Day 1 post, go back and check it out!

Today we put together The Shared Dessert: The Sundae Bar Edition. With summer fast approaching, we felt like an extra special ice cream sundae would be a great addition to anyone’s day! This crate includes homemade chocolate sauce, homemade pizelles(think waffle cone cookies), homemade candies nuts, homemade brownie mix, whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, caramel sauce, and of course marischino cherries.

One of the things I have been praying and thinking about for a while now is how exactly God wants me to use my passions and gifting. I know that I can bless others in my life as a stay-at-home mom, and I’m so grateful for those opportunities. I also have a desire to do more, so I have been asking God to show me if that desire to do more is from Him and will glorify Him, or if it’s coming from a place of wanting to be known and wanting recognition from others. I’ve found that my role as a “helper”(those enneagram lovers get this) can be tricky in that way. It’s a fine line to balance helping/serving because that’s who God is and that’s what he does versus serving because I want recognition, praise, and for people to like me.

So all that to say, I’m specifically praying this week for God to show me if I am in a period of waiting and refocusing  or if I need to get busy and make some plans to bless others in the form of a hospitality related business. And if am to get busy, I need major direction, so I’m asking for that too! I know that I’m asking a lot, but I do believe he will reveal what’s to come.
