Submission TitleAll Hail The Power of Jesus

Short Description (for preview in feed)

This is my attempt to retune the Hymn "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name". I have had this idea for a few months and had the melody in mind but hadn't spent any time with the lyrics until today. I spent about an hour co-writing with Donald Zimmerman from Doxa Church in Seattle and then another hour and a half on my own. I think this is a song I will definitely need to come back to and try to refine & work on the lyrical content/arrangement.

I wanted this song to express confidence in the power & might of Jesus not only in this life but in the life to come when he makes all things new. We live in the in-between where we experience this power in part but one day we will see this power on display in the final removal of all sin & brokenness. This song was good for my heart today as it led me to consider God's power & glory.  Lyrics are posted Below.

VERSE 1

All Hail the power of Jesus name

Let all to their knees fall

Bring forth the royal diadem

& crown Him Lord of all

O seed of Israel's chosen race

now ransomed from the fall,

hail him who saves you by his grace,

and crown him Lord of all.

Verse 2

Come marvel at this mighty King

the one who bids storms cease

He calls dead men from their graves

and tells the blind to see

He walked the road of suffering

and bore the curse of sin

All praises to the Lamb of God

whose kindness knows no end

VERSE 3

Rejoice our King will come again

to set creation right

The sunless city carries on (stretches out)

His glory giving light

All People from the corners of

The earth his hands have made
Will gather in His presence
to shower Him with praise

\

Refrain G Am F C G Am F G    F G AM G F G

and with unveiled faces we will see the Risen son

With whole hearts we will behold all that He has done

Hallelujah! He is worthy

Let our praises Ring

All Hail this King
