Submission TitleDay #1 Confession - Parenting

Short Description (for preview in feed)

My confession in parenting

NameTyler Gatewood

Full Description

Jesus, you’ve given us our kids to shepherd

Your Word calls children a heritage from the Lord

But we can sometimes view our children as a burden

We choose ways of convenience instead of shepherding their hearts

I confess my want to parent in the moment and not see the grand picture you have for them and for us

To parent in ways that I see fit and not according to your Gospel

When I am exhausted, let my soul cry to You and rest in You

Remind the deep places of my heart of the gift of children

Let me sing blessings over them, words of life and not death
